Q: There is already a 'Harry Potter', a 'Sailor Moon', a 'Lestat', etc here. Does this mean that I can't play them?
A: Nope, go ahead and app anyways. There can be more than one of a character in the game at one time. Granted, that can lead to IC confusion as to who's who... but that's half the fun.
Q: I have a fandom OC, character AU, completely original OC. Can I play them here?
A: Yes! You can most certainly play them here. Just remember, that unless agreed upon by the players that each character comes from their own world.
So, for example if you play a fandom OC from Harry Potter that had a relationship with Harry, someone bringing in a Harry Potter is under no obligation to be the 'Harry' your character knows. Same with canon parings. Just because it happened in the book, doesn't mean it'll happen in the game.
Q: Size... My character is huge! Do I have to size them down? Ie, a Transformers character
A: It's recommended that the character be sized down to 20 feet in height or less. (Length you can flub a bit easier, ie a snake or such) The world isn't really that big... Want to make them human sized? Sure! Size is at your own discretion, but keep in mind that most characters will likely be in the 4 to 8 foot range in height.
Q: Can we play real people? What about religious characters like Jesus?
A: This will be handled on a case by case basis, but a good rule of thumb is if they've been alive within the last 100 years, No. If they're fictionalized, like the vampire hunting Abraham Lincoln, likely yes. For religion, if it's the 'actual' Jesus, Buddha, Mary, etc No. If it's from a fictionalized work then possibly yes. Any 'religious' type harassment is grounds for banning, so please, keep that in mind. If a player asks you to stop OOC, stop.
Addendum: No political 'cartoon' type characters will be permitted unless said person has been dead at least 100 years. No Clintons, Obamahas, Osamas, etc.
Q: Are characters from Hentai series/games permitted?
A: Yes. Even hentai anime series are permitted, provided all icons for the communities are PG, with the exception of the ones used on the smut/adult community. The communities are PG-13 ish to a mild R. Any extreme violence, graphic sex or so on should be taken to the 'smut' community and put behind appropriate cuts.
